Jennifer Kabat is the author of the twinned memoirs The Eighth Moon and Nightshining published by Milkweed Editions in 2024 and 2025. Her writing has appeared in The Best American Essays, Granta, Frieze, 4Columns, New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, McSweeney’s, The Believer, Los Angeles Review of Books, The New York Review, and BOMB. Currently a resident at Callie’s in Berlin for fall 2025, she’s thinking about weeds. Her home is in rural New York, and she serves on her volunteer fire department.
